Product Description:

A Malecot Catheter Kit is a complete sterile set used for performing a percutaneous nephrostomy, specifically using a Malecot-tip catheter for secure and long-term urinary drainage from the kidney.

  • Nephrostomy Malecot catheters Kit:
    • J-shaped tip catheter, Malecot tip or Malecot tip with integrated Ureteral stent cathater for Multi-step nephrostomy sets.
    • J-shaped tip catheter or Malecot tip cathater for One-step nephrostomy sets.
    • Made of radiopaque polyurethane (PUR) for visual monitoring during fluoroscopy.
    • Have gradation lines for monitoring the depth of catheter insertion.
    • With or without hydrophilic coating.
    • String lock (option). Allows securing the loop, preventing it from straightening out and falling out of the kidney.
  • Two types of guidewires:
    • J-tip with PTEF coated 0.038” guidewire.
    • Lunderquist uncoated stainless steel guidewire.
  • Fascial dilators:
    • Made of radiopaque polyurethane for visual monitoring during fluoroscopy.
    • Have a cone-shaped open tip for atraumatic insertion and creating access for catheter placement.
  • Puncture needle and Chiba needle:
    • Have an echogenic tip, allowing for puncture under ultrasound guidance.
  • Scalpel blade No. 11 made of stainless steel.
  • Fixation Wings available in two versions: blue – rigid ABS and white – soft PVC.
  • Drainage bag connector
  • 3-way stop-cock
